What inspired Harper Lee to write “To Kill a Mockingbird”?

The novel is based on Lee’s experience. To kill a Mockingbird is lightly based on the annotations of her family and neighbors and is mainly inspired by an incident that happened near her home when she was only 10. The book is based on the illogical behavior of people regarding racial and class differences. All the observations influenced Lee to write this novel where she told the injustices based on race in her region.
